I've moved to Reading. Nice flat to myself just 10 minutes or so from the Oracle and a bit further to the train station. Dead handy--staggering distance from Chilli's, Old Orleans etc.
Went to Dark Jubilee a few days back. Quite fun- easy to get to from Sue's place too... The Eternal Afflict were cool, Killing Miranda fun, VNV Nation same-old-same-old-yawn.
Next day: Icon Of Coil were bouncy, don't really remember much until went to look at Das Ich who had an interesting stage setup but I wasn't familiar enough with the music to really enjoy it. Cruxshadows had better sound than when they played at Slimelight, but no better songs and no better singer.
Paradise Lost kicked arse-- sadly, the attendees were all cyber-weenie-kids who didn't care, so the audience started off small (don't think the singer realised the balcony was off-limits to us) and decayed throughout the performance. Mostly songs from One Second, Draconian Times and Host-- Enchantment is great live!
And then back to work. Ah well. I'll try and write a bit more (despite having probably alienated my audience with derogatory comments out cybergoths). Off to Surrey tomorrow to spend lots of money :(
