Anyone know where you can get hi-vis/glow-in-the-dark hairbands?

Horse riding sites sell a variety of stuff that might be adaptable - hat bands, things that would go over a length of elastic and so on. http://www.equasafety.co.uk/ is an example. If you mean reflective elastic thingies to tie your hair back with, I'm not sure reflective fabrics can be knitted, being plasticky - the best you could do would be bung a velcro band round your existing ponytail.

Hmm, Ron Hill and Nike both do lines of fabrics for night use, which is what I was thinking of. I don't want to cut up a shirt for it, though. Finding complete catalogues for the stuff they make seems to be quite hard. Actually, if they do do them (which is unlikely, really) they might be in the womens' section, too. Hmmmmmm.

Buy a reflective riding crop and cannibalise that for the fabric that's wound round the shaft? They're less than a fiver if you know where to look.
