Nike RunLondon 2004 Registration

I have just entered the Nike nocturnal London 10K run at the end of November. Could be fun, could be bad. It could be an interesting change, or freezing rain, basically.

Whoever made the Flash movies for the site has an interesting sense of humour.

You, Sir...
...are a very silly man! What's the course? Chelsea? Soho? Isle of Dogs? 8-)

BTW, whats a decent time for 5km for a 30-hrumph chubby bloke to aim at?

Re: You, Sir...
The site seems to have some broken links, so it's not too forthcoming about the exact route-- although it starts off in Canada Water and apparently takes in Canary Wharf and Tower Bridge, iirc. So Isle Of Dogs, yes-- third time lucky :}

The first time I did a 5K I got 29:51. A 30-minute 5K time means a steady pace of 10Km/h, which is a pretty good first target, I guess. You could come in quite a bit slower than that at the last race I did and still not be last, though, if that's any consolation.

Re: You, Sir...
Last night was my 1st ever 5k training run (well, run/walk/runetc.), which I did in 40:10 which..*checks link*..still wouldn't put me in last place! 8-)
Shouldn't be too shabby once I've built up to running the whole thing...
