Downloaded photos from over Christmas-- not bad, but I think this view of Pendle from above Wycoller (smaller version) is the pick of the bunch. Shows why walking up hills in subzero temperatures can be worthwhile.

Dead chuffed with the steamer. Had salmon fillet with onions, peppers, mushrooms and carrots for dinner. So many veggies-- I used to never have veg on the side like this! Managed to get the timing about right so they were still crunchy too, and adding some mixed herbs to them beforehand helped a bit too. Mmmm.

Oh, and we now have a cyber-kettle. (kind of). may have to get a picture to use as a food icon.

Can you telnet to the cyberkettle? :)

Nice pic by the way, we drove through some similar scenery (maybe not as dramatic) on the way back to wales over christmas. It really makes you realise how dull the Thames Valley is heh..

The TV is pretty dull, yes... although the Chilterns are just to the north of us, it's hard to appreciate them unless you're prepared to spend several hours slogging up and down hills on a bike or something.

Having said that, we're planning a hike around Donnington Castle this coming Sunday; Country Walking had a suggested route in this month. (Good grief, I sound like I'm about 40). The scenery won't be like that, but it will have the castle (well, the remains of the gatehouse) and be something other than watching the telly all day :}

Oh, the cyber-kettle-- it's not amazingly cyber, but there's a blue bulb that lights up the water when it's switched on, and some flashing red LEDs at the bottom. Looks like it's warming up to go into hover mode :)
