slimelight was fun. nothing particularly eventful happened, contrary to the rumours ppl were propagating on irc beforehand. so if you were worried, we're all ok, and if you hoped we were going to die as a result of ignoring your scatty advice, screw you.

Would you care to elaborate on this? The only rumour that I heard (and my reason for non-attendance) was that everyone was buggering off to Mr Mime's partay so it wasn't worth going... Why did people think you were going to die? Of boredom?

heh :) well, there was a rumour going around that something bad was going to happen at slimeligh specifically- however, no-one would disclose any details about what this was.

we compared notes wih icicle, and fiured out this was because no-one actually *knew* what was going to happen, and were therefore overreacting.

given that everything's all right in the end, i'm disinclined to wash dirty laundry in public and start flamewars. it was just unsettling to arrive on IRC to find flamewar in progress about it. And yes, "just go to slimes, i hope you die, ok?" is a real quote :(

Rumours...?
That wouldn't be a London variant of this one, by any chance, would it? If so, typical...

As far as I'm concerned "my mate's mate says......."

is never a reason for not doing anything.

I however, was not as slimes due to extreme laziness and snottiness
